Oracle's Siebel CRM has some interesting new features that will allow users and administrators to conduct their work more efficiently. For users work just became easier. No need to remember how all of that data needed to be entered in the system. No worries when the telephone rings and you have to pause what you were doing: The Task UI arrived. For administrators Oracle has massively extended the ADM management: Now all data can be handled and distributed from a source to any target environment: Never type in these LOVs again, never worry about Product Catalogs anymore... Need to install a fix on all your 8 Siebel Servers? New in Siebel 8.0 is the Update Server with its Agents, which allows you to distribute and install patches in a push or a pull manner. Never manually install a patch anymore!

At the moment we are still dealing with the issues of Siebel 8 and the impacts of the differences to 77. Component management complexity has increased. Componets do not shut down as they should, Remote sync manager backlogs data waiting for sync, Task UI is still code and release. The colors are nicer...... Do you find this valuable? |

That would be great. We are 8.0.0.5 as 8.1.1 was not available for field service/CTI/sale/marketing when we started.1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Just wondering if 8.0.0.5 is IE 8 compliant or not; at least with its new "Compatibility Mode" ? Do you find this valuable? |
