Patch Information

I am an end-user and we recently had a couple of patches applied. The patches were 6080266 and 7587673. The IT group sent an email with a list of the fixes that were to be applied but the information was very difficult to read and understand. Is there a place that describes, in plain English, what is contained in each pass the the applications that will be affected?

Patches for what? What's the application?
Where did those numbers come from?

I'm sure your IT group will clarify the doubts you have better than anybody here.

Login to metalink.oracle.com....there is a tab called patches&updates..simple search...in the search by --just paste ur patch number...there is read me which is in a plain english for each and every patch...hope this helps.
