Customize VM Templates before deployment

Hi,

Newcomer to Oracle VM here :)
I just wanted to know if it was possible to edit the VM templates before deployment.
In my case I would like to know if it's possible to change the default installation directory when deploying the Grid Control VM Templates. (Both OMS and OMR templates)
I also wanted to know if it's possible to change the disks size of the VM created from a template before creation and if not, if it's possible to change it post installation.

Thank you for your input,

Olivier

I am in the process of moving some of my virtual machines from VMware to OVM and by no means an OVM expert. Here are my answers thinking in VMware terms (I know, bad idea to mix up things......I am sure the OVM geniuses here will chime in to correct me)

Answer to the first question is a NO. Your VM templates are more or less post install snapshots of OS/OMS/OMR. I am assuming you are talking about the directory structure of the Oracle product within the templates. If you are talking about redistributing the VM files (image files or VMDK equivalents) that should be possible.

Second question is very interesting and I would like to explore it myself. I was able to work around disk space issues on VMware by adding more virtual disks and appropriate mount points. I am sure you will be able to do that with OVM.

I will add to this thread if I discover anything contrary!
