xwindows -- problem getting xwindows access to Oracle Ent Linux

Hi,

Have just installed oracle enterprise linux and need to configure hummingbird exceed to access the server from workstation.

ssh is successful for logging in but can not get exceed xwindows access from workstation.

Gui interface on server console is working just fine.

ANy advise or guidance please.

Hi,
In order for X-Windows to work the server needs to be able to contact your workstation on port TCP/6000. If it cannot get to your workstation then it cannot display the GUI. Do you receive any error messages?

You can tunnel X over SSH, check the documentation for your SSH client for more details.
