Weblogic Integration and Workshop in the future
Sep 9 2008, 5:15 AM EDT
Hello,I have some questions regarding the Weblogic - I was not able to find the answers elsewhere 1) Concerning the WLI of Weblogic 10.2 - How long will this version be supported? - Will there be a Weblogic Integration implementation for Weblogic 10.3? - Will there be any successor versions for Weblogic Integration or will Oracle only continue the development of the Oracle BPEL Process Manager? - Is Weblogic Integration 10.2 fully compatible with Weblogic Server 10.3? 2) About Weblogic Workshop and Apache Beehive - Is Oracle going to integrate Apache Beehive in later releases of Weblogic Workshop? - Does Oracle plan to support Apache Beehive and other web technologies like JSF directly – for example in connection with a Weblogic Server licence? Or is the decision to use specific web technologies (independent of the delivery with the Workshop) the business of the users and support is not given. Thank you in advance, Reinhild Böhme 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi Reinhild,Let me answer the WLI questions: - How long will this version be supported? For quite a long time! See http://www.oracle.com/support/lifetime-support-policy.html - Will there be a Weblogic Integration implementation for Weblogic 10.3? Yes, we are working on a WLI release on WLS 10.3. - Will there be any successor versions for Weblogic Integration or will Oracle only continue the development of the Oracle BPEL Process Manager? Both. The investment and support of WLI continues. Please see this presentation for more details: http://download.oracle.com/products/middleware/oracle-middleware-strategy-briefing-072008.pdf - Is Weblogic Integration 10.2 fully compatible with Weblogic Server 10.3? As mentioned above WLI is being certified on WLS 10.3. Hope this helps. /Demed 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
