Does Web Center has the functionalities like SSO, Session Management?
Jun 4 2008, 4:49 AM EDT | Post edited: Jun 4 2008, 4:49 AM EDT
Hello,
Does Web Center has the functionalities like SSO, Session Management, LDAP support? If we replace Oracle Portal with Web Center then we assume that we would have all the backend funationalities?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards

WebCenter 11g supports SSO as any other Java applications does, has session management and LDAP support too. Not sure for the 10g release but assuming that the answer is the same for this release. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes, WebCenter 10G has SSO and OID (LDAP) functionality. For this you must use Oracle ADF security, which is based on the JAAS model. I assume that your application has implemented custom authorization and you just want to use WebCenter SSO and OID for authentication purpose. In this scenario, its better to use Oracle SSO instead of ADF Security.

What exactly are you using for Session Management in Oracle Portal? I dont think so that WebCenter has anything like Session Management.

Imran
