Hello guys, I really need some help here
I have been given a task of Installing oracle 10g or 11g on a windows 2003 server R2 which will be the main host server. currently we have oracle 9i on sun solaris. I want to know that which version should I download and how should I install it. Is there any documentation available for it.

The distribution media has the installation guides. Better yet you can download the entire doc set from OTN. I prefer the entire doc set. Non-RAC is a very straightforward installation. For 10g you download 10.2.0.1 for OTN then go to metalink and download the 10.2.0.3 upgrade patch (if 10.2.0.4 is available then downloand it) For 11g the base release is 11.1.0.6 which you can download from OTN. 2  out of 3 found this valuable.
