Hello,

I am looking for documents, where I can see what are the business processes in general related to different industries like pharma, HR, Manufacturing and how they are addressed in RPD when Oracle publishes lets say Pharma Analytics or Marketing Analytics etc.

Also where can I get RPD for these different flavour like Marketing Analytics etc?

Hi Ganesh,
You can get pre built .RPD file when you will install Oracle BI Apps 7.9x (lates is 7.9.4). Pre built .RPD comes only with OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition). You can download OBIEE (BI Server 10.x, BI Apps 7.9x which includes DAC, Informatica, and dashboards etc.).

Pharma Analytics and Marketing Analytics are based on Siebel Pharma and Siebel Marketing CRM applications as their primary sources. Siebel Marketing CRM applicaiton runs it's campaign once after getting 'LIST' from Marketing Analytics. Basically, Marketing CRM and Marketing Analytics get implemented togather in most cases. Segment creation and List generation is lot faster in denormalized data instead of normalized one and ever since marketing analytics maitains a denormalized schema and the one of the most important thing which Marketing analytics does is to provide 'List" to CRM application to run marketing campaigns beside reporting capabilities.

Only way to get to know about business processes in pharma and marketing is to deploy in a sand box environment load the data run dashboards and do a reverse analysis which I found real helpful. As far as proper documentation on business processes I don't think there is any.
