I haven't seen Release 12 yet, but I am using Autoconfig in 11.5.10. Basically, Autoconfig is an admin tool which sets up the configuration of the major application components. For most major patches you'll need to run Autoconfig, as well as when you clone your production instance to dev and test environments. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Autoconfig is configuration management tool Oracle application provides. It executes the same way as in 11i, except in R12 new INST_HOME is introduced... and the $TWO_TASK.env and $TWO_TASK.xml files reside at slightly diff location. Do you find this valuable?
