I ask for a next question: The Oracle HTTP Server that ships with Database 11g is included as part of the license for the Oracle database. If you're licensed for the Oracle database, then you're licensed for the Oracle HTTP Server that is bundled with the Database 11g distribution ?? Regards 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Per the documentation:[cite] A restricted-use license for Oracle HTTP Server is included in the database license when the HTTP Server is running on the same server as the database. Running Oracle HTTP server on a different server requires that other server be licensed to use the HTTP server, either through an Oracle Database license or an Oracle Application Server license. [/cite] An alternative would be to use Doug McMahon's open-source modowa @ http://www.sharemation.com/~dmcmahon/modowa.htm; it includes its own minimal HTTP implementation as well as a DSO plugin for Apache. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Hi Jonah, I search for your notes and none found. What documentation are your reading ? Do you know any more open-source mod-owa and what experience ? I think that dmcmahon is not certified with oracle 11g. Regards PGutierrez 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
