There are several things you need to look at

1) Your Business Model
2) Your Cube Design
3) Database Tuning and Sizing

If you are looking at database tuning I would suggest having a look at Oracle OLAP Terminology (http://wiki.oracle.com/page/Oracle+Olap+Terminology), Oracle OLAP Blog (http://oracleolap.blogspot.com), post specific OLAP tuning questions to the OTN Forum (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=16) and have a look at the OLAP option - DBA Sample Scripts (http://wiki.oracle.com/page/OLAP+option+-+DBA+Sample+Scripts).
