Welcome to Localisation
Dec 19 2007, 2:04 PM EST Please add to this thread, or open a seperate one, all you believe is important related to localisations. As localisations can be an issue for all users of Oracle Business Solutions a common way how localisations should be managed across the various solution plattforms could be very helpfull. A localisation, doesn't matter where it comes from (by law, by industrie, by culture) should be identified ones. The functional description should be written and then these paper can be the input for all implementation work to be done to integrate the needed function in eBS, JDe etc. 2 out of 10 found this valuable. RE: Welcome to Localisation
Dec 20 2007, 4:39 PM EST I am interested in any R12 localizations that have been implemented. We are in the planning stages of an R12 Global implementation using eBS. Please post any info that would be helpful for those of us who are looking to comply with the local statutory requirements. 3 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Welcome to Localisation
Jan 4 2008, 7:54 PM EST Do you have any other resources beside the document you mention above? Also has there been any headway made on forming the task force? I would really like to get in touch with other people who are implementing the localization patches using R12. Thanks so much for your guidance. It is greatly appreciated! 0 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Welcome to Localisation
Jan 8 2008, 11:35 AM EST We are looking at a possibility of 50 countries globally including APAC, LATAM, and European theaters. I am very happy that you are going to put up that page for localizations! There are some countries that have particular challenges to say the least. I need to learn more on how Oracle can meet those challenges. Do you know what day you are having the session at Collaborate 08? It sounds very interesting. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Welcome to Localisation
Jan 8 2008, 12:47 PM EST Ok, then you are in the right team. I will inform you as i know the date and if the meeting / session will happen. We do right know a couple of activities around localisations. I will keep you informed. I also hope that we will have by the end of this month further posibilities to collect and deploy information about localisation. Also we establish a world wide customer, partner and Oracle employee network to manage localisations. We also have in our task force direct contact to Oracle managers from the various regoins overlooking localisation needs and issues. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
