Discussions in the Wiki vs OTN Forums

What is the role of the Discussion Forum in the Wiki?

The reason I ask is it seems to be reducing the effectiveness of some of the OTN Forums. A case in point is the OTN Virtualization Forum:

http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/virtualization/index.html

There are now a number of discussion threads on the Wiki related to Oracle VM, see the "Related Content" of this page:

http://wiki.oracle.com/page/Oracle+VM

These look like prime candidates for forum threads on the OTN Virtualization Forum.

Without some direction, we may end up with two sets of forums, making it harder to get the information you need.

Any thoughts on this?

Cheers

Tim...

I agree. I think the forum here a duplication of effort and just adds to the mountain of information to search through. 1  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

The forums functionality seen here comes out of the box with Wetpaint; we're stuck with it. We actively encourage users to stick with forums.oracle.com.
