Good points. I'm surprised they didn't come up in the talk. I guess everyone is so used to them now they don't stand out. :)

EASIER:
all of the get out of jail options if used i.e flashback queryversion/datatabase/recyclebin/logminer
performance analysis: awr/addm/ash reports all good stuff

More difficult: rman, rac, who has ever used dbms_online_ref or what ever its called to reorg an object online
