Unconference
I think the Unconference should be more visible. Unless you go to third floor on Moscone West, you will never know what's happening there! Why not in the exhibitor

UnConference - The PowerPoint Free Zone
UnConference is an Novel idea for the Oracle conferences, the IOUG Collaborate 2008 tried it for the first time in Denver, CO in April 2008 as well. One of the first Unconference session was hosted by BIWA SIG (http://OracleBIWA.org). The BI experts from the different areas gathered in an open space marked for UnConference. The BI enthusiasts stopped by, after learning about the SIG and the session, there were informal one-on-one break out sessions.
For the future sessions, we will try to use more posters and whiteboards to make more effective use of time. While the scientific community is adept to make the most of "UnConference" settings, I think the techhie types are yet to make most of these settings... we are still used to the PPT's, the overheads and the "code snippets" I think if the organizers of the OOW UnConference can provide some creative suggestions to the Unconference faciitators ahead of time to make the best of it...
