Sten, thanks for organising the WebCenter vs Portal Unconference session.

Here are a few points mentioned in the session:

1. Mr Rahul Patel's presentation, "Oracle Portal 11 new features and Roadmap", did not contain any roadmap as far as I could tell. What exactly is the Portal roadmap? Maybe Oracle could clarify this, as a lot of Portal users seem to fear Portal will be dropped.

2. There are 2000 changes in Portal 11, but only a handful are mentioned (improved OmniPortlet, improved import/export, JSF portlet bridge, improved language support, WSRP 2.0 support, improved security) and most of these were available in WebCenter already. Users have asked for an update of the dated Portal user interface, and Web 2.0 features.

3. The JSF portlet bridge is part of WebCenter and requires a separate license. Will this be solved?

4. There is no migration path from Portal to WebCenter. How to migrate PL/SQL portlets?

Marcel Lipman.

i just wanted to thank the ACE director for organizing this session. it was very good. it's always nice to hear from real users. i thought the discussion was good and it's clear we are all still a bit confused about how webcenter and portal fit together, but the discussions were a good first step. i hope that the unconference sessions will continue at next year's open world.
