Session Title :How to use native database REST Web Services in Oracle 11g
Time : TBD2pm
Date : TBDTuesdayLocation : Moscone West 3rd Floor Overlooks II
Room TBD
For the first time ever at Oracle OpenWorld (or any other major enterprise software industry conference), attendees will have the opportunity to directly participate by presenting their own session or workshop on a topic they're passionate about, in an informal, interactive setting.
Session Description:Oracle provides native SOAP Web Services using XMLDB. But if you want, you can implements your native REST Web Services using Java inside the database and XMLDB.
Major companies like Amazon, Google or Yahoo seem to focus the Web Services APIs on the REST style.
The presentation will cover the integration of the Open Source Framework
www.restlet.org and his extension to run inside the database with some examples and performance comparison of SOAP WS versus REST WS.
This session has also been submitted to OOW. If you'd like to see it there,
vote for it on Oracle Mix!
