Oracle OpenWorld Unconference Session

Session Title :SQL Model
Time : 2-3pm
Date : Thursday 15th
Location : Moscone West 3rd Floor Overlooks
Room: Overlook 1

For the first time ever at Oracle OpenWorld (or any other major enterprise software industry conference), attendees will have the opportunity to directly participate by presenting their own session or workshop on a topic they're passionate about, in an informal, interactive setting. In this session, Oracle Ace Laurent Schneider presents the SQL Model syntax and usage.

Session Description: Discuss the MODEL clause of the select statement
Oracle Database 10gR1 introduced a new programming language within the select statement. The MODEL clause has variables, assignments, loops, conditions. It is a powerful alternative/complement to PL/SQL. Specially interesting for datawarehousing and sql reporting, the MODEL programming language let you edit cells of the resultset and add new rows.

Session script:
SQLMODEL.SQL
