Oracle Designer
Oracle Designer is Oracle's CASE (Computer Aided Software Engineering) tool. It's been around for a long time, but is no longer actively being developed and lacks support for new features in the database.
It can be used both to build databases (with a separate logical and physical model if so desired) and to build applications in Forms and Web PL/SQL (or even in Visual Basic, once). Some organizations have managed to build 100% generated applications, but many have either only generated a "first-cut" application and then not generated anymore, or done some kind of post-generation modification.

Have you ever asked why is Designer still so archaic? Along the many versions of this fantastic database, this basic tool seems to be the same!! Is a little obsolete in comparison with other databases, I think Oracle should have a modern IDE to build the basics... the database!
It seems Oracle forgets this aspect or simply they don't mind... they have a great DBMS, but what about the database designers? Please guys invest some little cash on developers to improve Designer, we will be very thankful. Regards
