This section will provide details on how to download and install Analytic Workspace Manager. For more information on Oracle Warehouse Builder please goto the Warehouse Builder Wiki page which can be accessed from here.
Analytic Workspace Manager (AWM)
AWM is a simple tool that allows you to quickly and easily design and build an AW. AWM is provided free with the Oracle database and does not require additional licences beyond those for the OLAP Option. AWM uses a “design-time at run-time” approach so as you create objects they are automatically visible within the AW. This contrasts with the approach used by Warehouse Builder, which requires a deployment phase to create objects within the database.
For more information on AWM click here and see the entry marked Analytic Workspace Manager

Oracle By Example : Populating Your OLAP Analytic Workspace Using Analytic Workspace Manager
In this tutorial, you create a 10g Release 2 analytic workspace usingwith logical dimensions and cube objects using Analytic Workspace Manager (AWM). The tutorial takes approximately 45 minutes and consists of the following topics
You can access this tutorial by clicking here.
Oracle By Example : Querying OLAP Data Using Oracle BI Enterprise Edition Answers
Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition 10g, Release 3 (BI EE 10g) delivers significant new product enhancements to further enable enterprise-wide BI, including integration with Oracle OLAP. In this release, Oracle's native multidimensional data model -- the analytic workspace (AW) -- is made accessible to BI EE 10gby creating the required metadata in Oracle BI Administration Tool. The AW data is exposed to the BI EE 10gproduct stack, and the OLAP engine is leveraged for analysis of that data.
Access of Oracle OLAP data is enabled by performing a 3-step process. Each step in the process is covered by a lesson in this section of the Oracle by Example series. You learn how to: prepare an AW for access by BI EE 10g; create the required metadata using Oracle BI Adminstration Tool; and create analytic reports of AW data using Oracle BI Answers.
These lessons are designed for completion in the order that is shown below. Each subsequent lesson depends on the completion of the previous lesson. Click on any of the links below to begin.

Leveraging Business Intelligence Tools
There are two sections to this paper. This first reviews the architecture and capabilities of the OLAP option to the Oracle10g Database. It will focus on the multidimensional engine and data types, and how applications can with them. The first section will also discuss the problem information fragmentation in more detail. The second part of the paper demonstrates how several different types of tools commonly used in a business intelligence system can use a single database instance containing a single copy of the data and the business rules.
