Within Oracle eBusiness Suite HCM we usually hold these as multiple concurrent assignments linked to the single person record. Often each assignment will have different payroll rules, different costing, different manager details, different work structure data etc. Within the UK these are common in Local Government, Higher Education (universities) and the Health Sector - also some retail customers and some leisure customers also have this requirement.
