Multiple Employments (assignments) in Oracle HRThis is a featured page

Many Public sector bodies have employees who perform different roles concurrently within their organisations - these are typically two or more part time jobs. Within Oracle eBusiness Suite HCM we usually hold these as multiple concurrent assignments linked to the single person record. Often each assignment will have different payroll rules, different costing, different manager details, different work structure data etc. Within the UK these are common in Local Government, Higher Education (universities) and the Health Sector - also some retail customers and some leisure customers also have this requirement.

In the UK public sector (and some retailers) many employees have multiple concurrent assignments (we call them multiple employments). This casuses many problems as some components of the HR suite don't accomodate these well - such as OLM and self service. I'd be very interested to hear of any other sectors and countries where this is also the case
