JPAThis is a featured page

JPA is the Java Persistence API, defined as part of JEE EJB 3.0. JPA replaces EJB CMP (and JDO) and defines a POJO (Plain Old Java Object) persistence API.

JPA is supported by the Oracle TopLink product, which is part of the Oracle Application Server.

JPA tooling support is offered in Oracle JDeveloper.

Oracle is also involved in several JPA related open source projects.

Eclipse Persistence Services (EclipseLink) : JPA implementation, next generation of the TopLink product.

TopLink Essentials (Glassfish) : JPA reference implementation.

Eclipse DALI : JPA tooling for Eclipse IDE
