How to uninstall Oracle VMThis is a featured page

Often when you are first getting to know a new technology, like Oracle VM, the second thing you want to know is how do I get OVM OFF my computer!

Here is how.

Download and burn the GParted Live CD, go through it and remove all the partitions.

Next use a windows xp cd, boot with it and choose recovery mode. From there execute the command 'fixmbr' to remove the linux bootloader.

You may need to create a NTFS partition or something, but now you should be able to install Win XP or whatever you want to.

---------------

The above steps didn't work on my Lenovo x61s when I went from OVM Server -> Windows.

I was getting an error message like:

setup did not find any hard disk drives installed

I went into the bios and changed the raid from ahci to compatibility and everything worked fine after that.
