Fusion MiddlewareThis is a featured page

Fusion Middleware is a suite of enterprise software products that supports the development, deployment and management of modern, standards-based business applications.

The Oracle Fusion Middleware suite includes ten major solution areas: Development Tools, User Interaction, Enteprise Performance Management, Business Intelligence, Content Management, SOA & Business Process Management, Application Server, Grid Infrastructure, Identity Management & Enterprise Management.

Oracle's Fusion Middleware strategy is to build a suite that is complete, open and integrated. Charles Philips, President of Oracle Corporation, has described the scope of Fusion Middleware by saying "if it's not an application and it's not a database then it must be a middleware". Clearly Oracle intends to offer a complete set of middleware solutions.

premson Steps to recover lost "weblogic" password: 0 Wednesday, 10:19 PM EST by premson

Steps to recover lost "weblogic" password:

1. Shutdown your weblogic instance if its running, using the command:

$ cd MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin
$ ./stopWebLogic.sh

2. Set your environment variables using setDomainEnv.sh:

$ cd MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin
$ . ./setDomainEnv.sh

3. It is important to change your home directory to this "security" folder in order to perform the change password command.
Run the following commands:

$ cd MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/security
$ java weblogic.security.utils.AdminAccount adminuser1 welcome1 .

[ Note1: Don't forget the period "." at the end of the above command, it is required. ]
[ Note2: After running the above command, the file "DefaultAuthenticatorInit.ldift" gets updated. ]

4. Delete the following file from "ldap" folder:

$ cd MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/AdminServer/data/ldap
$ rm DefaultAuthenticatormyrealmInit.initialized

[ Note3: A new file will be automatically created when weblogic is started. ]

5. Startup weblogic server using the newly created "adminuser1" account.

$ cd /scratch/aime1/work1/mwps1/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin
$ ./startWebLogic.sh
Enter username to boot WebLogic server: adminuser1
Enter password to boot WebLogic server: <newly created password>

6. Logon to /console with the new administrative user - "adminuser1" (and not "weblogic")

7. Under 'Security Realms', you can see two admin users 'adminuser1' and 'weblogic', go ahead and change the password for user 'weblogic'.

Higher OFM 11g middle tier not installing (forms reports portal discoverer) 1 Aug 13 2009, 8:34 PM EDT by Higher
Thread started: Aug 12 2009, 4:41 PM EDT  Watch
Hello,
I'm installing OFM on a single box http://Enterprise Linux Enterprise Linux Server release 5.2 (Carthage) 32-bits, choosing to install Forms, Reports, Portal, Discoverer on a new Domain. But the installer fails in the Step 5, exactly when is Starting Managed Server: WLS_PORTAL.

What I find completely weird is that under servers there are no servers created besides the Admin Server, so why the installer reports that the managed servers where created when they were not. I don't have any WLS_PORTAL, WLS_REPORTS, WLS_FORMS nor WLS_DISCO.

Has anyone had this problem.

Setup:
Database 11g (11.1.0.7) as Metada Repository
OFM IDM11g already installed
SSO 10.1.4.3 already installed
Everuthing on the same box.

The only error I found on the installActions log was this:
oracle.as.provisioning.exception.ASProvisioningException
at oracle.as.provisioning.engine.Config.executeConfigWorkflow_WLS(Config.java:876)
at oracle.as.install.classic.ca.standard.StandardWorkFlowExecutor.execute(StandardWorkFlowExecutor.java:65)
at oracle.as.install.classic.ca.standard.AbstractProvisioningTask.execute(AbstractProvisioningTask.java:26)
at oracle.as.install.classic.ca.standard.StandardProvisionTaskList.execute(StandardProvisionTaskList.java:61)
at oracle.as.install.classic.ca.ClassicConfigMain.doExecute(ClassicConfigMain.java:126)

at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.action.TaskPerformer.startConfigAction(TaskPerformer.java:104)
at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.configuration.action.ActionRequest.perform(ActionRequest.java:15)
...

Any help much appreciated.
