Fusion Middleware is a suite of enterprise software products that supports the development, deployment and management of modern, standards-based business applications.

The Oracle Fusion Middleware suite includes ten major solution areas: Development Tools, User Interaction, Enteprise Performance Management, Business Intelligence, Content Management, SOA & Business Process Management, Application Server, Grid Infrastructure, Identity Management & Enterprise Management.

Oracle's Fusion Middleware strategy is to build a suite that is complete, open and integrated. Charles Philips, President of Oracle Corporation, has described the scope of Fusion Middleware by saying "if it's not an application and it's not a database then it must be a middleware". Clearly Oracle intends to offer a complete set of middleware solutions.
