With Oracle applications the user is prepared to reflect the political developments of EMU. The user can associate currencies to euro by defining the conversion factor and the start date. Additional currencies of late joining member states, such as Greece and the UK can easily be added. In the extremely unlikely event of a member state dropping out of EMU, the currency association can be deactivated.
