I need a better method for tracking license consumption of my Oracle apps and technology. I am not attempting to track at a user level, but just what I own vs what I have allocated. This is especially needed for the supporting technology since there are so many servers and instances involved. I have looked for tools to purchase, but those are mostly associated with desktop installs. Before I build my own spreadsheet/database tool I thought I would reach out to the greater Oracle community.

All,
I have the following problem : 1.- I wrote all the FSG in R12 2.- My current 11.5.10.2 production environment will be in R12 in Q3 It's possible, or somebody knows any procedure (template for Dataload, using other tool) to copy that?. I will try to use the copy between instances, but I saw one note in metalink that this doesn't works. Any comment will be appreciated, Carlos

Hi,
I had a requirement to send resume as attachment in workflow approval email. Resumes will be storing in FND attachments. Please let me know how to achieve this.

Has anyone configured an outgoing custom XML message to pass through OTA on a 11.5.10.2 E-Business Suite. Using Designer we created a custom XML message. Works fine through Workflow to generate the message, but doesn't hand off to OTA. Do we need to create a custom DTD? The documentation isn't very clear.

I have 11.5.10.2 installed on a VM machine runing on Linux and i would like to install patches on apps tier and database tier to learn more about this.
If you have any example i appreciate that! Apply a patch at Database Tier is easy as doc say`s or i will have big problems??

I need your help with this :
One thing that I want to know is if is possible to maintain one book on a different currency to the functional currency defined in GL. I have the following scenario : 1 Ledger in AUD (functional currency) 1 Secondary Ledger in USD : I'm working to setup a secondary ledger in USD and subledger method, but I cannot see any setup related with this in FA. Will be possible to associate one book in USD to work with the secondary ledger? I'll appreciate any comment that you can give me. Carlos Urtubia |

I would appreciate, if this thread is used to share the experience of Oracle Customer Data Hub implementation and related issues. (Lessons leanred, Best Practices etc).
Recently we have implemented Oracle eBusiness Suite as Central Data Hub consolidating, cleansing different legacy systems data into Oracle Customer model. Though, I would confess that, it was not complete CDH implementation. The reason being, we had not maintained any synchronization between the spoke and Oracle eBusiness Suite. Initially it was challenging mapping the legacy systems customer model to Oracle TCA and consolidate data. I would love to hear more about CDH implementation which involved effective data synchronization. |
