Anyone got an overview of how all this fits together. We are interested in tying the initial registration (for tracking purposes) of an item in the asset register to the point of receipt rather than waiting for the invoice to arrive and complete the financial detail - this can be done later, but it doesn't seem simple to make this work. Any ideas?

I've read the Best Practices for Securing Oracle E-Business Suite as well as other My Oracle Support documents stating the reasons (both technical and security related) for the 30 minute setting of this profile option. We currently use this best practice recommendation in our environments.
Without going into a debate over deviating from best practices or 30 minutes should or shouldn't suffice for an inactive session timeout, I'd like to get more information from those using the software with this setting greater than 30 minutes. Does anyone currently use or in the past used a setting greater than the 30 minute recommendation? If so, what issues/implications did you encounter in your environment(s)?
