Installation

• I just installed Oracle Designer for the first time. Why is it asking me to log in? What username, password and connect string should I use?
• Designer requires that you create a repository, a database of design information, in an Oracle Database. The username, password and connect string are those of a user defined in that database who has been granted appropriate access to the repository. Use the Repository Administration Utility (RAU) to create a repository and grant users access.
• How do I install a Designer Repository?
• TheOracle® Designer Repository Installation Guide that comes with the product is actually quite good. Find it in the Start menu under the heading, "Software Configuration Manager".
