In addition to the Oracle Precompilers, Oracle provides several APIs which allow developers to build applications that access an Oracle database server. Several of these APIs include:

Oracle Call Interface (OCI)
Oracle C++ Call Interface (OCCI)
Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)
Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)
.NET Data Provider
