"To be the leading independent forum for Oracle professionals, partners and users in Australia."

The Australian Oracle User Group (AUSOUG) represents a collective of 2000+ IT industry professionals focussed on the technologies, applications, strategies and business of Oracle and its products, along with associated third party vendors. Our members enjoy a comprehensive range of exclusive information, services and networking opportunities within an independent professional body which is part of an international network. In an industry where the practitioner is consistently inundated with (often biased) information, products and services, AUSOUG is widely recognised as a key objective provider of opportunities to its members. AUSOUG, which is an independent user group, has the following objectives:
    • Grow and nurture Oracle communities through the provision of knowledge, innovative services and independent representation
    • Present a unified voice for the Oracle professionals and user communities to partners, media and affiliated organisations
    • Provide responsive services, support and collaborative forums that enhance the effectiveness of members, partners and affiliate interest groups

INVITATION TO ATTEND

PLEASE CONSIDER ATTENDING the AUSOUG and OAUG National Conference Series Perth 6 – 7 October and Gold Coast 13 – 14 October 2008
Following the success of the National Conference Series 2007, AUSOUG joins with OAUG and industry partners to bring to you the National Conference Series 2008 - Oracle with 20:20 Foresight. So as we can bring you the breaking news from Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco we have planned the conference and exhibition for the week after Oracle OpenWorld. The National Conference Series opens in Perth at the Sheraton Perth from 6 – 7 October 2008; followed by Gold Coast at the Jupiters Casino from 13 – 14 October 2008.
Based on the feedback from members, this year’s Conference Series brings together the largest agenda of Oracle related presentations in Australia for 2008 by both independent speakers and Oracle's own key staff.
As in previous years AUSOUG and the OAUG have attracted a number of high profile speakers both from Australia and around the World and this year won't be any different. We are already pleased to announce that Tom Kyte, Senior Technical Architect in Oracle's Server Technology Division and Rich Niemiec, President of TUSC, USA have agreed to present on the Gold Coast. Keep coming back to this website for all the latest updates.
With our strong relationship with OAUG, UKOUG, ODTUG and Oracle we are working with speakers from the USA, UK, Asia, Australia and New Zealand to ensure that you have the latest information to increase your knowledge of Oracle Software from a User's Perspective. You will find papers on the following communities and also hands on workshops presented by leading experts in their field.
For the first time at an Australian conference, AUSOUG and the OAUG will be providing a series of quality Fusion Middleware and R12 Applications hands on workshops as well as some special full day workshops for our various communities. The National Conference Series 2008 offers you great content, great value for money, and the chance to upgrade your skills and knowledge like never before.
AUSOUG & OAUG have provided the key independent event in the Oracle calendar for more than seven years. Members will also be able to source an excellent range of products and services from the extensive vendor exhibitions at both conferences.
So, regardless of the Oracle community you are a member of, you will not be disappointed at this year’s conference presentations and exhibition of products and services.
The opportunity to network with your peers is a very important component of attending conferences. The Welcome Reception held on the conclusion of the first day at each conference, and the Conference Dinner being held on the Gold Coast.
Attending the Gold Coast conference will provide you with an exceptional conference program of information, education and networking, and the opportunity to stay a little longer and take advantage of the wonderful range of tourist attractions available – including the theme parks; shopping; beaches; and hinterland visits to name a few. An excellent range of accommodation is available at reasonable rates to allow you to make a holiday of the visit to Queensland. So bring the family!
AUSOUG and OAUG are independent user groups who work closely with the Platinum, Gold, State, Exhibition partners and other leading industry suppliers to develop the most comprehensive real world focused conference and exhibition that will be THE Oracle User event for 2008.
We invite you to REGISTER NOW to take advantage of the discounted rates that are available for early registration. We look forward to seeing you in Perth and on the Gold Coast.
