I work for Oracle. I like my job. I get to play with cool technology and help Oracle sell more software that ultimately helps people do more with less and make more money. I love the idea of producing intellectual property. Any business, from a woman in rural Chile making clothes to a billion-dollar mega corporation can benefit from using information technology to simplify and expand their business to serve more customers, be more efficient with their time, and ultimately, do good for their families and the world. I am pumped up every day I come to work thinking about the future. We are on the cusp of a new, flatter, more connected world in which indigenous wisdom and shared knowledge has the potential to cure disease, heal the earth, create peace, and end hunger and oppression. Cool, huh? :)
